Tai'an farmers begin cultivating rice
As the golden time for rice transplanting arrives, farmers in Dongping county in Tai'an city, East China's Shandong province, are busy conducting waterproofing, seedling transportation, and transplanting work.
Machines are empowering the rice planting base in Shanglaozhuang village, helping improve its work efficiency.
Rows of light green rice seedlings now adorn the paddy fields, bringing the hope of a good harvest.
In recent years, Shanglaozhuang village is known to use a model that integrates both rice and crayfish cultivation. By introducing water from Dongping Lake, the village has created a good environment for cultivation and increased the popularity of its pollution-free crayfish.
In addition, the village's Anshan rice has received a national geographical indication trademark for its high quality. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
