Foreign students experience Dragon Boat Festival culture

A group of foreign students from Morocco, Turkiye, Nigeria and other countries recently experienced the charm of the Dragon Boat Festival in Linqu county, Weifang city, East China's Shandong province.

The foreign students, who are studying at Weifang University, visited a wormwood base in Daboshi village and learned about the uses and benefits of wormwood, an aromatic herb used widely in traditional Chinese medicine.

They also made sachets with wormwood leaves under the guidance of the locals. Making such sachets, which symbolize one's wish for good health and luck, is one of the customs of the Dragon Boat Festival. (Edited by Fan Yuanyuan)
