Old-timer and seasoned craftsman Grandpa Amu – who hails from the county-level city of Linqing, administered by Liaocheng city, in East China's Shandong province – has become an unexpected hit on overseas social platforms.

That's because of his incredibly skilled use of Chinese woodworking mortise and tenon joints, a technique widely used in traditional Chinese architecture and furniture making, usually without any nails or glue.

In this video, Grandpa Amu makes a great tumbler using an old bamboo root. Let's check it out to find out how he's done it! (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
