A sea of lilies bloom in Tai'an city
The first lily flower festival kicked off at the Dawenkou Site Park on June 3, just as the lily flowers in Dawenkou town in Daiyue district, Shandong province's Tai'an city, come into full bloom.
The white, yellow, and mauve lilies have drawn the attention of many tourists as they enjoy various leisurely activities in the park.
Local delicacies and intangible cultural heritage works, which include wine, glossy ganoderma, pancakes and paper cuttings, were showcased at the festival.
Additionally, a folk artist played music with a traditional musical instrument at the festival, creating a joyful atmosphere.

In recent years, the town has been accelerating the building of scenic spots, aiming to integrate its historical sites, natural landscapes and cultural environment.
To date, the town boasts two national historical and cultural sites, two provincial-level cultural relic sites, and three municipal-level cultural relic sites.
"The festival will last five days and Dawenkou town wants to use the lily flowers as a medium to welcome tourists to sightsee and enjoy the wonderful scenery," said Lyu Yanxia, a town official. (Edited by Chen Chuxuan)
