Shandong county's growth is on a roll with bearings

Located at the junction of Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces, Guanxian county – located in East China's Shandong province – is an important base for manufacturing bearings in the country.

It has highly developed coastal areas to its east, facing the Midwestern inland provinces, with a broad market.

Bearings, known as "industrial joints", are the most basic and critical components in the equipment manufacturing industry and play an important role in the performance, quality and reliability of major equipment and principal machine products.

With 528 bearings enterprises, more than 11,000 sets of machine tools and 20,000 employees, Guanxian county has an annual production capacity of more than 1 million tons of bearings with annual revenue of above 4.75 billion yuan ($672.45 million).

The output of 1,200 kinds of bearing products is widely used in the construction machinery, as well as in the machine tools industry, medical instruments, mining and oil, industrial robots and in other fields – meeting the needs of these different industries perfectly.

Moreover, the Guanxian county bearings companies are further implementing an innovation-driven development strategy.

They are in operating accordance with the ISO9001 quality management system for strict quality management, to ensure the accuracy of every process with high-rate equipment and high-precision inspection instruments.

Through competition, large numbers of premium skilled talent in the bearings industry have been trained up, greatly improving the quality of output.

To date, three companies have been recognized as high-tech enterprises at the national level, seven have been ranked as specialized and sophisticated enterprises at the provincial level, while another eight companies are at the municipal level of specialized and sophisticated enterprises – effectively enhancing the innovation and resilience of the industrial supply chain.

With reliable quality and innovation, the bearings industries in Guanxian county have moved steadily towards high grades and better branding. They have not only established strong commercial relations with leading domestic manufacturers like FAW, DFAC, SAIC Motor and CNHTC, but also exported to more than 40 countries and regions in Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Furthermore, the sector is supplying and doing business with many top well-known companies abroad, such as Sweden's SKF, FERSA in Spain and NSK Ltd in Japan.

Currently, Guanxian county is accelerating the development of an industrial cluster and pursuing its high-quality development.
