Shandong town promotes study tours of Yellow River culture
Jiucheng town in Heze city – in East China's Shandong province – has been exploring a new commercial model for cultural studies, centering on the Yellow River culture.
According to local officials, Jiucheng is one of the towns along the Yellow River in Juancheng county. Most of the villages under its jurisdiction are distributed along the mighty waterway.
Taking advantage of its geographical location and the opportunities presented by the move to ecological protection and the high-quality development of the Yellow River basin, the town has gradually established a thriving cultural studies base for study tours.
The facility offers various special study projects for students and tourists, such as one for revolutionary spirit education, another for science education and a popular intangible cultural heritage experience.
