Fresh-cut Chinese peony sector grows in Shandong district

The fresh-cut Chinese peony industry is thriving in the Luxi New District – administered by Heze city in East China's Shandong province – with annual production of 4.5 million stems and exports going to Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions.
There are a host of peony cultivation plantations covering 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares) in the provinces of Zhejiang, Shanxi, Hebei and in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, as well as a 500-mu plantation in the Yuecheng Street in Luxi New District. (Edited by Jin Yongxue)
