Baidu has announced that it is expanding its plans in Jakarta - including the appointment of a project director in Indonesia and launching 10 new products in the country.

Baidu entered the Indonesia market last year, with its localized hao123 website, and it will also promote its search engine and mobile applications - referred to as its “Mobile first” strategy.

Baidu aims to be the world’s top media platform and a well-known brand in half of the world’s countries by 2019. It also aims for half of the world’s population to be Baidu users.
