A Taiwan delegation of pharmaceutical industry leaders visited Daxing Biomedicine Industrial Base on August 15th and 16th.

The delegation was met by Gao Shuangjin, secretary-general of the Beijing Taiwan Compatriot Association, Zhou Yulan, secretary-general of the Beijing Pharmaceutical Association, and Tian Dexiang and He Jiantao, deputy directors of the administrative committee of the base.

Managers of the Beijing Drug Administration and Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau gave a presentation on the first day of the visit, about the approval process, development trends and investment policies for Taiwan drugs, health food, cosmetics and medical equipment in the mainland.

 He Jiantao spoke about the development and investment policies of the base. The next day, the delegation visited Beijing Minhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd and Beijing Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. This cross-Straits visit was an initiative of the Beijing Taiwan Compatriot Association, Beijing Pharmaceutical Profession Association and eight Taiwan pharmaceutical associations, including the Chinese Association for Pharmaceutical Agents.

 It aimed to promote pharmaceutical exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, to encourage Taiwan counterparts to participate in the mainland pharmaceutical market and to provide an ideal platform for cross-Straits cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry.
