Intel and Baidu have opened a joint mobile application test center offering free tests for applications for Intel Android devices.

The center, which opened on July 24, provides the usage of the background server, front end mobile devices and other free services to help mobile application developers exploit mobile devices apps on the basis of the Intel architecture more efficiently and inexpensively. It is also expected to further improve the ecological environment of the mobile Internet.

China is set to have 1.37 million mobile application developers by the end of the year. These developers are facing a faster update speed of mobile Internet devices, increasingly competitive market and difficult technical barriers, and thus require support in technologies, software and platform to reduced development costs and shorten testing and releasing periods of mobile apps.

The mobile testing center is an important part of the Baidu Open Cloud, and aims to lower testing costs and to ensure the safety and stability of mobile apps through standardized testing services.

Huang Zhuang, deputy general manager of the Baidu Cloud Business Department, said that Baidu will make full use of cloud testing resources in order to offer developers convenient services, encourage app innovation and ensure the stability of these apps.
