On July 18,Zhou Guolin, vice-director of the Zhongguancun administrative committee; Zeng Xiaodong, director of Zhongguancun’s international business; and Lu Jiang, director of international relations, attended an online interview to introduce Zhongguancun’s internationalization.

Vice-Director Zhou introduced the concept of internationalization. He described internationalization as a combination of “going out” and “bringing in”. He went on to say that Zhongguancun strived to cultivate international enterprises, entrepreneurs and famous brands. He also shared his understanding of the relation between innovation and internationalization. Then he discussed how to motivate small and medium-size enterprises to achieve international development.

Director Zeng gave a detailed introduction of Zhongguancun Science Park’s Action Plan (2013-2015) to Support the Internationalization of Enterprises, which will soon be released. The plan aims to promote collaboration between enterprises, enhance science and finance services, and improve the entrepreneurial environment and the environment for innovation.

Director Lu introduced the Regulation of the Special Funds for Zhongguancun Science Park’s International Development that was put into effect early this year. The regulation aims to support the internationalization of enterprises, industrial organizations and industry alliances by offering subsidies to them.

At the end of the interview, Vice-Director Zhou expressed his confidence that the internationalization of Zhongguancun is in a new phase and the administrative committee will continue to utilize resources both at home and abroad to create a favorable environment for enterprise internationalization.
