Zhongguancun is the first national independent innovative demonstration zone in China. It needs a song to show its spiritual outlook and achievements. This song will encourage more entrepreneurs to make continuous progress and develop with the science park.
"Sing for Zhongguancun" is part of a themed event hosted by the park – "China Dream • Zhongguancun". It is organized by the publicity department of the Beijing Municipal CPC Committee, the capital spiritual construction office, the Communist Youth League Beijing Committee and Zhongguancun Science Park’s managing committee.
In line with the spirit of the 18th CPC National Congress, this activity aims to display Zhongguancun’s role in uniting innovation, stimulating creative ability and promoting independent innovation.
I. Purpose of the event Zhongguancun hopes to establish its distinctive brand culture and the park’s image. With more artistic works it can also arouse the enthusiasm of the people and encourage the passion of entrepreneurs. The China Dream will boost cultural and scientific innovation and utilize the strengths of Beijing, leading to economic and social development.
II. III. Requirements of creation 1. Lyrics should show the theme of the China Dream. They should also highlight that Zhongguancun encourages innovation, entrepreneurship and services for our country through industrial development. 2. Lyrics should be inspiring and easy to follow, reflecting Zhongguancun’s strengths – high-tech, internationalization, innovation and entrepreneurship.
IV. Instructions to authors 1. Original songs are required while plagiarism is banned. Each author can submit no more than five works. 2. Participants can search for online information or send works to zgczg@zgc.gov.cn with the email subject: “songs submission”. 3. Personal information is required in the email, including name, workplace, telephone number, address, postal code, and any other information the participants deem necessary. 4. Date of submission: May 24 to July 30, 2013
V. About the awards 1. One first prize reward of 5,000 yuan ($815) 2. Each of the other nine excellent participants will receive a reward of 2,000 yuan. 3. Rewards above refer to pretax amount and all participants should pay taxes on the basis of relevant regulations. 4. Winners will obtain certificates of the event.
VI. Ownership of copyrights 1. The copyright, including printing, recording, video recording, issuing, acting, and broadcasting of all the lyrics belongs to the sponsors. 2. The authors have the right of authorship and one-time payment. 3. Sponsors of the event reserve all rights of the event.
