Dongsheng Science Park, a sub-organization of Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing, is the first science park owned by all the farmers in Dongsheng town. Its income is also shared amongst the farmers. The overall construction of the park will be finished by 2016 with a total construction area of 3 million square meters.

Between May 28 and June 1, a delegation from Dongsheng Park took part in the 2012/2013 China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Service (CIFTIS) at the China National Convention Center.

"The park will build itself into an accumulation area for hi-tech industries, with a priority to develop electronic information, new energy and new materials," said Wu Kai, head of Dongsheng town of Beijing Haidian district.

"The fair has provided a platform for us. There are many world-class enterprises at the fair that we want to cooperate with," he added.
