High-tech enterprises attend US-China Procurement Conference

Fifteen representatives from 12 high-tech enterprises in Beijing's Zhongguancun Science Park, China's first national science and technology demonstration zone, attended the 2013 US-China Procurement Conference in Fairfax, Virginia on May 7.

The conference consisted of direct pairings and symposiums, and mainly focused on ways for Chinese companies to enter the US federal government procurement system and business supply chains. It also covered the general practice of market entry and several success stories.

The Zhongguancun management committee organized the participation of several enterprises based in the park with the aim of taking advantage of this unique platform to promote cooperation in technology, personnel, product and capital. The science park committee also hopes the event can facilitate the internationalization of its enterprises.

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Transportation, Commerce, Energy, and Agriculture attended the event. Chinese representatives held discussions with their US counterparts, including representatives from famous enterprises such as Dun & Bradstreet and Hewlett-Packard.
