The administrative committee of Yonghe Park, one of Zhongguancun Science Park's subparks, recently hosted a forum to discuss incubator development in the park.
Jia Hongmei, Party secretary of the administrative committee, said the international incubator for integration and creation in the park has played a great role in cultivating innovative technology companies and raising new growth points for economic development.
The forum gathered related government authorities, professionals and entrepreneurs to discuss the development model of the international incubator for integration and creation and capital operation optimization.
Beijing Hanhai Zhiye Investment Group introduced into the US the business incubator Hanhai Z-Park in Silicon Valley. Lu Xianggui, vice-president of the company, said some office buildings in China provide growing support for start-ups. As a result, incubators have to find more professional ways to develop in order to survive.
The NEIC (Nokia Experience and Innovation Center), a professional incubator, is dedicated to creating a platform for mobile Internet start-ups in China and providing various developers and entrepreneurs with advice and solutions. According to the center director, Fu Lei, the NEIC will discover and select 3,000 innovative ideas and applications in the mobile Internet sector to help 300 technology start-ups become famous and 30 companies get listed in the following three to five years.
"Becoming an international platform requires talent across the world," says Zhang Shuming, CEO of Lincoln International (China). Based on his years of experience abroad, he advised that Zhongguancun should learn from Western companies to assist young entrepreneurs in terms of accommodation, settlement and other aspects.
