Zhongguancun Internationalization Lecture series opens

The first Zhongguancun Internationalization Lecture series opened on March 25 in Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing. [Photos provided to China Daily]

The first Zhongguancun Internationalization Lecture series opened on March 25 in Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing.

The lecture was presided over by Zeng Xiaodong, international business director of the Zhongguancun administrative committee. The first lecture focused on Chinese enterprises and the process of internationalization.

Dr. Doug Guthrie and Xiao Zhixing, deans of the school of business and school of China studies at George Washington University, respectively, delivered speeches at the lecture.

They analyzed the opportunities, challenges and international innovation outlook for Chinese enterprises.

Nearly 40 Zhongguancun-based enterprises attended the lecture. They exchanged opinions with Doug Guthrie on enterprise internalization issues. Entrepreneurs said the international lecture provides them opportunities to communicate with experts from world-renowned colleges and an open international communication platform.

The lecture series is a training seminar held by the Zhongguancun administrative committee to improve the professional capacity of enterprises. It will offer free lectures on topics of international trade, international protection of intellectual property rights, investment environment of target countries, international standards and other relative issues.
