A signing ceremony initiating strategic cooperation between the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun and the China Certified Tax Agents Association (CCTAA) was held on Oct 11.

Leaders of the administrative committee, CCTAA, Beijing Certified Tax Agents Association, and over 100 representatives from tax agent firms, major Zhongguancun enterprises, and modern service pilot companies participated in the event.

Yang Jianhua, deputy director of the administrative committee, and Wang Wenyan, vice president of CCTAA, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement at the ceremony.

In accordance with the agreement, both parties shall cooperate in conducting tax policy research, providing courses and training in tax law and policy, raising enterprise awareness of tax planning and remittance, and auditing specific fiscal funds.

Guo Hong, director of the administrative committee, and Xu Shanda, president of CCTAA, addressed the meeting.

An information session on replacing the existing business tax with a value added tax (VAT) in Zhongguancun Science Park was held after the ceremony. Xu Shanda discussed the background and significance of the new policy.
