Huangshan city was selected as a candidate for the 'East Asian Cultural Capital', together with nine other cities in China. Huangshan was the only city from Anhui province selected.
According to an action plan signed by China, Japan and South Korea in 2012, the three countries launched a voting activity for the 'East Asian Cultural Capital' this year. It will select a representing city in each country.
The result will be published at the cultural ministers meeting of the three countries in the second half of the year.
In addition, more cultural cooperation in multiple areas is expected to be conducted next year.
