According to the sports bureau of Huangshan city, Anhui province, the city will host four sports events in August, with over 3,000 competitors participating, Anhuinews.com and Anhui Daily reported on July 31.

The 2013 national public taekwondo tournament will be held at Huangshan city stadium from August 8 to 11; 1,600 competitors from different teams will participate. The provincial public taekwondo tournament will be held from August 22 to 27. Total competitors will reach about 1,000. From August 16 to 19, the provincial youth badminton competition will welcome 400 competitors. The fourth provincial international style ballroom dancing tournament and the first Huangshan municipal international style ballroom dancing open tournament will hit the stage on August 20.

In recent years, sporting events in Huangshan have been supported by the government and enterprises. Dozens of sports events every year, including the Huangshan international mountain bike festival, Huangshan international climbing festival and Huangshan international walking festival, create a sports tourism brand that attracts visitors all over the world.
