Hefei adds nine new trains

The Hefei train station plans to introduce additional trains on weekends and peak travel times starting April 11. Some of the trains have already started to sell tickets.

Hefei railway station plans to operate nine more tourist trains going to Beijing and Shanghai. The additional weekend trains are G7266 Hefei to Shanghai, G7194 Hefei to Nanjing South, G7222/3 Hefei to Huainan East, G7250 Hefei to Shanghai, G120 Hefei to Beijing South and G268 Hefei to Beijing South.

The additional trains for peak travel times are G270 Hefei to Beijing South, G274 Hefei to Beijing South and D5468 Hefei to Shanghai Hongqiao.

Currently, some of the trains have started to sell tickets. The G7222/3 train from Hefei to Huainan East will depart at 9:22am and arrive at 9:49am. The G7250 train from Hefei to Shanghai will depart at 5:16pm and arrive at 8:15pm. The G268 train from Hefei to Beijing South will depart at 12:43am and arrive at 4:56pm.

After the Tomb-Sweeping holiday, railways in the Yangtze River Delta have experienced a peak season of passenger flow. The passenger flow is quite high on weekends. For the convenience of tourists, the Shanghai Railway Administration has taken operation measures, such as adding more weekend high-speed rail trains and external train cars to popular destinations.
