Emma Roberts models Dooney & Bourke handbag

Julia Roberts' niece, Emma Roberts, will be the new face of accessories label Dooney & Burke.

The 16-year-old will appear in the company's new ads. It is set to debut in the themed "Young Hollywood" issue of Teen Vogue in October.

As the line's spokesperson, Emma follows in the dainty footsteps of Lindsay Lohan and Mischa Barton in promoting what every American teenage girl needs, a 200 dollar handbag!

For the current season, designer Peter Dooney turned it up a notch by teaming up with Emma Roberts, not only to model the teen collection, but also to lend a hand in designing. Emma spent a day with the Dooney & Bourke design team to create a new limited edition bag bearing her signature style which will debut in December.

The teen collections featured in the Emma Roberts' campaign is claimed to be the hottest new handbags this fall. The bags are scheduled to hit Dooney & Bourke retail boutiques in October. They will also be available at department stores such as Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor, Macy's, and Nordstrom and at Dooney & Burke online store.

Emma, who is following her Pretty Woman auntsĄŻ, stars in the Nickelodeon series "Unfabulous" and has already been seen in movies such as last spring's Aquamarine. Roberts will soon be seen in the lead in 2007 film Nancy Drew. With her winning smile and bubbly personality, Emma Roberts is a rising star.
