one of her seductive billboard posters for high-street chain
Monsoon[EMPICS] | The striking Brit, whose
little boy Sonny was born in 2004, has been taking time out from her music
career to focus on motherhood and married life with husband Richard Jones, bass
player for The Feeling. But fans won't be able to miss the poised 27-year-old
over the coming months as her svelte figure adorns billboards around the
country.
Known for her individual sense of style, the Murder On The Dancefloor star is
following in the footsteps of Jodie Kidd and Sophie Dahl in modelling for the
high-street clothing chain. "Besides being very proud of the photos, I am also
looking forward to wearing some of the clothes," she revealed. "I especially
love the vintage-inspired dresses.
Daughter of former Blue Peter presenter Janet Ellis, Sophie began her music
career at 17 when she joined indie group theaudience before going solo. Her
adverts for Monsoon coincide with the September release of her latest single
Catch You, followed by her album Trip The Light Fantastic, which she has been
working on steadily away from the spotlight.
"Since having Sonny and getting married, I am strangely more focused than
ever and just wanted to take my time and come up with something that I could be
proud of, no matter what its fate may be," she explains.
