Versace brings back the supermodels (Femalefirst) Updated: 2006-07-27 11:55 Versace new autumn winter collection for 2006- 2007 marks a change in
the fashion house.
In it's heyday the fashion house was famous for it's brash in your face
glamour which epitomised the nineties.
However in recent years, Donatella's collections have been heavily criticised
but she said in a previous interview that :" Versace has always stood for
sensuality and glamour, but glamour these days is not defined by details and
over decoration but by quality."
She told vogue online that it was time to move on and do something different
and chose past and present supermodels including Kate Moss, Christy Turlington
for the campaign.
She said; "People are really looking at the 'supermodels' again today- how
they dress- both casually and on the red carpet"
Created by Versace in the early Nineties, the supermodel phenomenon has
recaptured the media?s attention completely.?"
