Glamorous Slovenia, a documentary that shows Slovenia's dramatic limestone peaks, fairytale castles and sparkling wines, premiered on CCTV- 9's documentary channel on Feb 27.

It's CCTV's first nonfiction program to zoom in on a European country. The documentary pays tribute to the 20th anniversary of Sino-Slovenian diplomatic relations.

The three-episode, high-definition series took two months to complete. It captures the stunning scenery of Postojna Cave, Bled Lake and Ljubljana, the capital city that still brims with Hapsburg splendor.

The series presents the European country through a Chinese perspective and offers insights into Slovenian civilization, CCTV's president Hu Zhanfan says.
