Taiwan model/actress Lin Chi-ling has joined up with mainland actor Huang Bo to remake a film based on a Japanese television drama.

Say Yes was adapted from the 1991 Japanese TV series 101 Proposals, an Asian hit at that time.

Lin, who made her big-screen debut in John Woo's Red Cliff, plays an elegant cellist courted by Huang's character.

The film will premiere on Valentine's Day 2013. Director Chen Zhengdao jokes that he chose the day because if lovers can survive 2012 - rumored to be the end of the world - they are likely to propose to their beloved ones on the next Valentine's Day.
