The China Central Academy of Fine Arts is presenting its graduating students' work to international viewers in an exhibition tour entitled The Start of a Long Journey.

Some 200 outstanding graduates' works from 2009-2011 are on display until Feb 11 at the Art@GoldenSquare Gallery on Lower John Street in London's Golden Square.

Genres include sketches, drawings, ink paintings, oil works, sculptures, installations and videos.

"With this exhibition, overseas viewers may get a fresh idea of how young Chinese artists create their maiden works as they start their professional artistic careers," academy president Pan Gongkai says.

The academy initiated the exhibition tour project in 2010 to promote their graduates, domestically and globally. The previous exhibition toured at least 10 Chinese cities.
