The top 10 people and events of 2011 in China's art collection sector were unveiled on Dec 13 at the Auditorium for the National People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing.

Also announced were the top 10 lyricists and composers, in a competition for pop songs with the theme of national treasures.

Designed to promote public awareness of cultural heritage and antiques, the competition was co-sponsored by the Chinese Folk Artists Association and the Collection World magazine in Beijing.
