About 150 government officials, artists and theater performers from China and Russia gathered on Dec 2 at the National Museum of China, to discuss Chinese and Russian stage arts. Ministries of culture from the two countries are co-hosting the activity, which will end on Thursday.

Attendees discussed the development, inheritance and preservation of the arts in the two countries, and compared music, theater, dance, and culture and art institutions.

The Russian delegates not only saw Chinese dramas and modern dance performances in Beijing, but also went to Yunnan's provincial capital Kunming and sichuan's provincial capital Chengdu to watch original ethnic groups dances.
