Organizers are soliciting paintings for an exhibition with the theme Imagining Migrant Workers. Paintings should be in traditional Chinese style.

Artists from the Chinese Ink Painting Academy and other art institutes have joined up for the exhibition, which will be displayed in April 2012 at the National Museum of China.

It is organized by the Chinese National Academy of Arts, the Ministry of Agriculture and Henan's provincial government.

There are more than 230 million migrant workers in China as of 2010, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. Most are originally farmers from impoverished areas.
