LONDON - British Prime Minister David Cameron has called a news conference for Friday morning which will address the phone-hacking scandal which has led to the closure of the top-selling News of the World newspaper.
The news conference will be held at 0830 GMT and was scheduled at short notice.
Cameron will take questions from reporters, a spokesman said.
The hacking case centring on the News Corp-owned News of the World is certain to overshadow all other issues.
