BEIJING -- China's stocks rebounded and closed higher on Sept 7 with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.84 percent, or 45.57 points, to end at 2,516.09.

The Shenzhen Component Index increased 2.16 percent, or 232.75 points, to finish at 11,011.18.
