BEIJING -- China's stocks fell Thursday, as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.44 percent, or 11.30 points, to 2,556.04.

The Shenzhen Component Index lost 0.39 percent, or 44.62 points, to finish at 11,352.86.
