A funeral parlor in Chongqing suspended its cremation services on Nov 14 because it cannot find diesel supplies to power up its incinerators, the Chongqing Evening News reported Monday.

The funeral parlor exhausted its last drop of diesel on Sunday morning, said Fang Ai, manager of Longxing funeral parlor. More than 10 bodies at the parlor are waiting to be cremated, the report said.

Funeral parlor staff members could not find one liter of diesel despite contacting more than 20 gas stations around the city on Sunday, and people sent to a nearby gas storage depot returned empty-handed, as well, the report said.
