The balance of broad money supply (M2), which covers cash in circulation and all deposits, was 69.98 trillion yuan at the end of October, up 19.3 percent year-on-year, the People's Bank of China (PBOC), the central bank, announced Thursday.
The growth rate of M2 was 0.3 percentage points higher than last month and 10.2 percentage points lower than the same period last year.
The balance of cash in circulation (M0) was 4.16 trillion yuan, up 16.6 percent year-on-year, it said.
The net withdrawal in October was 20.8 billion yuan, 85 billion yuan less from a year ago.
