According to the latest statistics of Ruili Checkpoint, over the first half of the year, the entry-exit passenger and traffic flow in Ruili Port has substantially increased, hitting a record high.

As of June 30, a total number of 4.826 million passengers and 1.023 million transport vehicles has came in and out through the port, an increase of 18.3 percent and 11.1 percent respectively compared with the same period last year. With the aforementioned two records, the port is continuing its leading role in local borders.

"The reason behind entry-exit traffic growth has a lot to do with Yunnan’s ‘Gateway Construction Strategy’ and Ruili’s opening up of key pilot areas," Head of Ruili Checkpoint He Jialin said.

As one of Yunnan's largest land ports, Ruili Port is seeing a constant increase of people, logistics, capital and information.

In the face of the increasing flows, Ruili Checkpoint has, through scientific service reform and cooperation with the local government for the expansion of the port, taken the initiative to establish coordination mechanisms with the joint inspection teams in border control, thus to greatly facilitate customs clearance. Meanwhile, the station has vigorously promoted "sunshine" service, smiling service and other services to guarantee passengers enjoy conveniences as well as high quality and efficient services.
