Dubbed as "the Thangka county", the Sagya county of Xigaze prefecture has developed Thangka industry with the boom of tourism and the Sayga Tourism Development Co., Ltd engaged in Thangka has been established.

Since its foundation, the company has sold 144 pieces of hand-made Thangka earning 478,000 yuan and has sold 1,870 pieces of Thangka made by machine with 760,500 yuan. In addition, the company sold 520 pieces of silk Hada with a total value of 82,000 yuan.
