Hu visits Xinjiang Bayi Steel Stock company, which was founded in 1951. He asked the managers about how the company reduces costs, saves energy, and improves its benefits amid the international financial crisis. In the Goldwind Science and Technology Company, which specializes in wind energy development, Hu Jintao urged the company to be creative and innovative in order to compete in the international market.

He also inspected the Tiansheng Industrial Company in Shihezi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, on Aug. 24, 2009. Hu expressed his appreciation that the company has provided job offers for 1,100 people with disabilities and those who have encountered difficulty finding a job.
