The awards ceremony for the first Outdoor Film Festival was held on Monday, in Beijing.
It's the first festival in Asia focusing on mountain bike documentaries, public-spirited and environmental protection activities, and road movies.
The Travel Channel started the program in July, with the aim of offering an opportunity for outdoor film lovers to showcase their talents.
The ceremony involved 30 movies and 10 awards .
A-lister Chen Kun (pictured), who was behind the community project "The Power of Walking", in August, won the Most Influential Incident for Travelers, a special award for outdoor sports. He spent 11 days with 10 university students traveling on foot in areas with an average altitude of 4,500 meters, traveling 115 km, finally arriving in Lhasa.
"I hope traveling can be a lifestyle so that more people will go out to have a look at the world," Chen says.
