Charlie Sheen has taken ex-wife Brooke Mueller on holiday.

The couple - who have two-year-old twins Bob and Max together and were divorced earlier this year - are reported to have rekindled their relationship and jetted into Mexico on Friday (19.08.11) to celebrate Brooke's 34th birthday, where Charlie has booked the $15,000-a-night Presidential Suite at the Four Season's Punta Mita.

Over the weekend, the former 'Two and a Half Men' actor treated Brooke for a romantic dinner on the beach.

A source told E! Online: "There were candles everywhere. They ate very healthy, local fish, salad, drank fruit juices. Charlie had arranged a chocolate molten cake with candles for dessert. It was beautiful."

The couple - who have both battled drink and drug problems in the past - have chosen Mexico because they feel they can relax and be themselves.

The source added: "They have been here three times before. Charlie says Mexico is paradise and he feels completely relaxed here."
