A company in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, which felt betrayed by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that wrongly reproduced the firm's advert, is seeking 12 million yuan (US$1.45 million) compensation, reports Guangzhou Daily.

The company advertised with the ISP last July to promote its new weight-loss products, but the firm changed the company's ad from "take benefits as the priority" to "take betrayal as the priority."

But the defendant said at a recent court hearing that it had made correction quickly, with the wrong advert only being viewed six times.

The court is still to announce its decision.
