An 88-year-old woman had five blood-pressure tests at the airport in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on Monday before she was allowed to board the plane, reports Shenzhen Economic Daily.

When the grandma was taken to the airport in a wheelchair, she was asked about her physical condition and was given a blood-pressure test after she told the airline staff she had a problem.

The authorities said the tests were necessary to ensure the safety of passengers with illnesses during flight.
