Six farming oxen were killed in crashes with moving trains in three separate cases in Shaoguan, Guangdong Province, in the first five days this month, reports Guangzhou Daily.

In two cases, the oxen strayed on to the rail tracks when the owners were not watching; and in the third, they went wild because of fireworks.

Three trains were delayed because of the accidents and the railway authorities have strengthened checks along the rail lines.
