An employee was fired and
lost a month's salary of 400 yuan (US$49) just because he smoked a cigarette in
the company's dining room at lunch time, reports Sanqin Daily.
Zhang Ming, a worker at a chemical plant in Xi'an, capital of Northwest
China's Shaanxi Province, feels gravely wronged after being targeted by his
boss's wife late last month.
According to the local labour and social security department, financial
penalty should not exceed 20 per cent of an employee's salary.
