1st int'l fair for medium-small sized cities to be held

The first China International Fair for Economic and Technical Cooperation of Medium and Small-sized Cities will held from May 13 to 16, 2004 in Shenzhen, a south China boomtown facing Hong Kong across a river, according to a news briefing in Beijing Friday.

The news briefing given at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing was co-hosted by the China Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Enterprise Association and the Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Economy League, which will also co-host the fair.

The main substantial content of this fair includes programs of "merchant inviting and capital import" and economic and technical exchanges and cooperation.

During the fair, a forum on economic development of medium and small-sized cities will also be held.
