According to Nanjing Statistical Bureau, in the first three quarters, all economic indicates of Nanjing increased more rapidly than the national average, and main indicates grew more quickly than the provincial average.

The relevant department of Nanjing Statistical Bureau revealed, "the initial accounting shows the growth rate of national GDP from the first quarter to the third quarter was 8.5 per cent, 0.6 per cent higher over the same period of last year; the provincial GDP amounted to 850.25 billion yuan, up 13.2 per cent on the year-on-year basis (0.2 per cent more than the last half year).

Nanjing's GDP growth hit 15.1 per cent, 6.6 per cent higher than the national average, 1.9 percent more than the provincial average, and up 3.6 per cent over the previous year."
