Little New Year, or Xiao Nianin Chinese, which falls about a week before the lunar New Year, was celebrated at the beginning of February. It is also known as the Festival of the Kitchen God, who oversees the moral character of each household and reports on it to the heaven.

The date of this traditional festival differs in different regions in the country, with most people in the north celebrating it on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month (Feb 1) and in the south, on the 24th day of the lunar month (Feb 2). So how do Chinese celebrate this special day? Let's take a look through a camera lens.
