A series of cultural events have been launched with more expected to come as the  China Cultural Center in Sydney opened its "2016 Happy Chinese New Year" campaign.

This is only one of the key projects organized by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. The set of events aim to showcase Chinese Spring Festival traditions and cultures, and to offer a platform where people from different countries can have a feel for Chinese culture.

A special exhibition titled Spring Festival Experience is now open and has a wide variety of activities including: paper-cutting, lantern riddle guessing, spring couplets production, Chinese calligraphy and quiz games. More than 250 students from seven local primary schools will strengthen cultural exchanges in younger generations by visiting the show that ends Feb 24.

Other expected events include the Lunar New Year concert, garden live concert, Chinese folk music, contemporary art exhibitions, and diverse cultural fairs.
