Yang Dongmiao draws the mural draft in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi province, Dec 10, 2013. Yang Dongmiao and her husband Jin Weidong, as well as their four students, have been reproducing the complete murals of the No 45 and No 220 grottoes of the Mogao Grottoes, a UNESCO world heritage in northwest China's Gansu province, for almost two years. As a great number of original murals were severely damaged, they had to fill in new paintings after thorough research. The two restored grottoes with murals covering 300 square meters will soon be shown to public in Xi'an in early 2014.[Photo/Xinhua]
