The annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is underway in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.
Leaders of the SCO member countries signed a series of documents on Tuesday. Those include the Yekaterinburg Declaration, a joint communique, and documents on anti-terrorism, financial cooperation and Afghanistan.
President Hu Jintao made a speech during the summit, in which he called for SCO member states to strengthen mutual political trust, enhance economic and security cooperation and expand humanitarian exchanges.
He also called for joint efforts to overcome the current difficulties, and ride out the world financial crisis.
