China to further reduce tax for companies

China will improve the value-added tax system to better help enterprises lower tax this year, said Wang Jun, head of the State Administration of Taxation, on Sunday.

Efforts will include increasing the tax deduction of property tax from 60 percent to 100 percent and reducing the number of tax bands from four to three, Wang said on the sidelines of the annual session of the National People's Congress, the top legislature.
